Been seeing alot of bad reviews lately on Ohana we had planned on eating a dinner there.....Shud we change our plans?

We just got back from WDW a week ago and we returned to O'hana's after a first visit Aug 2005. I still love it as much, even with the changes.

I made a meal eating all the stuff they bring to you at your table. I simply passed on the meats. It's not that I don't like them, I just think the rest is so delicious, I want to fill up on that instead.

That dessert was delicious too. Bread pudding with a sauce on the side, we chose to skip the sauce and ate the pudding with vanilla ice cream .....yummy.

Definitely going back agai next time.

We've been many times, once since they've changed the menu...........even better! I agree with the previous poster about the apps being a meal themselves...there are so many and they are so good.I do think the meat is too well done for my taste, you can however, request yours cooked to order.I too,eat just a "taste" of the meat skewers.Got to save room for that delicious bread pudding :)

Ohana is better that ever! I think the changes were a definate improvement.

I do not like some of the changes, I don't like the cheesy potatoes or the bread pudding. However, other changes are good, the salad is good and even despite the changes I wouldn't miss going as there is so much you can skip what you do not like.

We love Ohana and plan to try the new menu in February. You won't know unless you try it.

Bdfore we ate there this past August most of the reports i had read raved about O'hanas so i was alittle disapointed when we really didn't care for it but i am willing to give every restaurant a second try so i'm sure we will try this one again in a few years.

So even with the bad reports you've read imho you really should try it for yourself, you never know you may love it.

I know what you mean!! I made them take away the fried wontons and the pesto just so I would still have room for everything else! :)

Hello
So, no more pineapple and carmel sauce?
Breadpudding? Not too keen on that......... :smooth:

How about the shrimp?

We have been going on past trips and already have res for two weeks from now.
What's the big change? We don't eat the meat, we really went for the shrimp :yay: and the lime salad>

are those two things on the menu?

Thank you! :thumbsup2

we tried it last trip and probably won't go back. i think service is probably ok with a bigger group( our 2 adults got some of the worst we ever got at disney, not snotty just not there ever while the server's larger tables were waited on hand and foot) i don't really care they changed the menu since the meat is still there and that was awful, tough, dry overcooked...well at least the 2 little hunks of beef and pork we got were( waiter was not around to any others nor better cooked meat). the wings and salad were very good but i don't want to pay almost $30 each for wings and salad. i am kind of particular i guess as i think you should get a decent meal with decent service for that much money and ours wasn't.

We were just there last week as well. While I thought the wonton chips were a step down, overall it is still one of our favorites. The steak was a little too rare for my taste, so I requested some done medium-well. No problem, they went out of their way to make us happy. Still the best food and best service we have had outside of the "Signature" restaurants.

Don't sell that "bread pudding" short. I thought it was the best dessert I have ever had. The only problem was I was too full to have more than three bites...ok, maybe four bites. I could have had it for dinner. Oh, but then I couldn't have had the wings, potatoes, sausage, turkey, beef...oh, nevermind :sunny:

 Of course everyone is different but I love 'Ohanas! I think everyone should try it at least once :cool1:
