Will we need proof my son is under 3?

We are going in Dec. My son will turn 3 in Feb. Should we bring any proof that he is not yet 3, or are they pretty good at taking your word for it? I just want to be prepared either way

We took our daughter to WDW when she was 2 years 11 months and nobody ever questioned us. Just making sure it is the same at DL.

We brought my very tall 2.75-year-old daughter's birth certificate with us, just in case. I was sort of worried that since she is tall and very verbal, they'd be like "suuuuure she's two, lady." But no one ever asked to see it.

I felt better having it, just in case. It was just one less thing for me to stress out about.

We went when DD was 28 months and no one ever questioned us about her age. I think unless it's obvious they are older than 3 no one will question it. But you can always bring his birth certificate just in case if it adds piece of mind. You can probably just take a picture of it with your phone and if anyone did question you just show them the picture.

I thought about trying to get DD in free again (3 and 8 months) but didn't feel right about it. I remember my parents telling my brother and I to say we were a certain age to get into movies cheaper.

We always carry a photocopy of our grandkids' birth certificates with us when we travel, until they are old enough to know their names.

I think if your child looks near 3 you are okay. If they look 5, bring a birth certificate. I used to sell tickets. I always gave what the guest asked for. Once in awhile, I'd remind them that children 3 and up needed a ticket. Or I'd say, "Is there anyone in your party over the age of 60?" (There used to be senior days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays circa 1980s). It's up to the ticket taker. It will probably not be a problem. Bring a birth certificate if you are worried. But we had annual passes the entire time my children were small. Each of them turned 3 and we had to buy the pass. We were never questioned about whther or not they were the age where they needed a pass and ds#2 is big for his age.

No you won't need anything. I brought my nephews birth certificate just incase anything were to happen and we needed it (emergencies) but never brought it to the park. My nephew looks 4 and he's only 2, they never questioned it

From what I have heard from friends that have had this issue - is that CM's are not allowed to argue with you. However, I do not know at what point they would really stare you down. It would be unlikely in most cases that people travel with their birth certs (unless you are flying of course.)

What may be easier to haul around if you are concerned is their health insurance card....it had their bday on it (and its accepted as proof of age by airlines if you have a lap child).
