My parents, my husband and kids, my sister and I are going to Disney in March to celebrate my dads retirement. My mom has run into the problem of my dads "big" retirement check coming a week later than she planned and has asked Disney for an extension of a week to pay for the trip. They refused, and said that she will loose the reservation. I was wondering if we would loose all our ADRS if Disney canceled the room reservations since they are linked to our resort confirmation number? We can always get another room, but ADRS have been booked since September and we CAN'T replace those, especially for 10 people. I would hate to loose our rooms at the GF but it is a place to just a place to sleep, the food is what the adults are looking forward to the most. I just can't stand the thought of eating burger and fries for every meal.

ADRs are not linked to your reservation.

Does she have a package that she needs to pay in full 45 days prior? If you don't pay on the 45 day mark, Disney will start trying to contact you. They won't actually cancel the package until about 30 days prior. Since there's money on a reservation, they will contact you.

I would call back and see if you can talk to someone else about getting a small extension.

I would say, it is worth an attempt at calling back. Simply put, the CM's there have become VERY inconsistent! EVERY time I call I get a different answer from teh folks over there it's really bad. Some are exceptionally nice and some are rather rude.
