We will be taking our first trip to US/IOA in October. Our 3 DS's will be 9, 7, & 3.5 and are definitely not horror fans! We will be getting our tickets from AAA, so with early entry, Universal Express, and Early Closing for HHN, will we have time to hit the major attractions at USF in one day?

We are hoping to do MIB, ET, Kong, Jaws, BTTF, Barney, and the Kid's Zone.

Any and all suggestios are appreciated.

I don't think you'll have any trouble doing all the things you mentioned. Plan on spending ALOT of time in Woody Woodpeckers kidszone, especially if it's warm enough to get wet. Don't forget bathing suits and towels!

Oh and make sure to go to the dry ball area behind the wet play area in Curios George play area.

I'm not sure exactly what "definitely not horror fans" suggests (other than no desire to do HHN), but Jaws can be frightening to very young kids (especially the last encounter!). And BTTF is a very motion-intense simulator.

OTOH, your kids are just the right age to fall in love with the absolutely drenching delighs of Curious George Goes To Town in KidZone.

Enjoy!

I agree with kelly about Jaws, and you might reconsider Kong if they're really scary....

I went one year in October, got wet and STAYED wet because it really didn't get too warm during the day so also consider that when you let them loose at the KidZone. Last week it was a pleasure in the heat!

Robin & Kelly...

Thanks for the warnings. We have been thinking about the scaryness (is that a word?) of the rides. We are planning on doing some KidSwaps as needed. The littlest one is definitely too small for BTTF.

Also, my 2 older ones saw Jaws and Kong on the planning video and have asked to try both. Which one do you think we should try first?

It's the whole monster, vampire, zombie, blood thing that is definitely not for them. Also the thought of people jumping at and grabbing at them would just be way more than they can handle.

Jaws is the better of the two. So I guess on the theory that you save the best for last, see Kong first.

You also might want to skip the Horror Make-Up show which is gory in places (dead body parts) and some of the humor is most definitely PG-13.
