Will we get durable membership cards?

Right now we have paper ones. Do we get plastic, credit card type cards?

We got our "credit card" looking member cards about a month after we closed.

We closed way back in August and still have not received our permanent cards. I called MS about a month back and they have requested that they be sent out - but the time table was 6-8 weeks, so none yet. Hmmm. We are off to VB over MLK weekend and just might have our cards by then, tho I am told that I will still be able to take advantage of the DVC discounts (limited tho they may be), as the CMs at check in will be able to issue us something to show we are indeed members.

Yes, shortly. And on your first visit you get the DVC logo and member number tattoo.

i will call ms and tell them you have not received your cards yet, it only takes 2-4 weeks. i wainted 3 weeks and then i called, funny thing is when i went to the mail box that day, the cards were there, but i have read on this board that people had to call at least twice before they got there cards. and if your going to use valet parking they usually ask to see your members card, and discount in the restaraunts too. happy traveling pumpkinboy

I think DVC outsources the production of those cards. They are done in batch by an outside vendor, and the time it takes to get one varies quite a bit. Doesn't hurt to call and check.

We closed in July and I finally called in November (after our temporary cards had expired) and inquire about them and MS put in another request for us. We got them about 2-3 weeks later. From what I've read, it's not that uncommon to have to call and ask for your cards.
