Will we be thrown out?

do they do this with all the attractions? I don't remember that.

No. You should be able to get in a ride line at any point up to 7 PM. But a ride is the same before 7 on a party night as it is after 7. Not so with the characters, especially the princesses. The princes join them at 7 and become party-specific at that point.

I think they used to do that - park closing was at 6:00 and they asked the party people to go to one land until they cleared the park. It was Tomorrowland when I was there. Then at 7:00 everyone could go where they wanted.

that will be with any character-- the last person will be let through at the time to get them to the character and done by 7pm.. so they can open that line back up at 7pm-- without a wrist band you will not be able to get in that line.

(i am wondering how it works for the dwarfs-- there was no one checking wristbands. getting in line about 6:15.

We have done the dwarf line a number of times. Someone will usually walks the line checking for wristbands. Then eventually I'm sure they check as you get close to the front of the line too.

Absolutely, mom2rtk is right. Just because they don't ask you to see it, doesn't mean they are not looking. We were in line at Dwarfs when a family was asked to leave. It got kinda ugly.

You will have a great time at the party, it's a good choice!!!:thumbsup2

The dwarfs don't meet during the day, so you could only line up if you had a wristband. The CMs check each person as they get in line.

Thank you!!!!

... and thanks to everyone for putting me "straight" - I'm SO glad I asked the question before we turned up. I would have been mortified, my little girl would have been disappointed - all-in-all... not good.

SO... thanks to everyone again... :-)

Here's hoping we ALL enjoy it, and my DD has a super FABULOUS birthday :D :D

Here's my little Merida - with her Merida :D :D

Awesome pic, love the costume. Have a great time at the party. We are attending our first MNNSHP too and are super excited.

My husband and I attended the 1st MNSSHP of this season and I saw people still being escorted without wristbands (by CM's holding a ghost light) at 9-something and I was thinking "How are they still here after 9PM?"! Maybe they had a 6:55 dinner ressie, I don't know, but it seemed kind of late to still be in the park during the party. I have always wondered how they handle getting people out of the back of the park after 7pm. While we sat on Main St. for the 1st parade there were tons of people still exiting at 8pm.

As an update - we went ahead and bought the tickets.

Why end our vacation on a sour note? Be escorted from a park (regardless of the reasons), not cool. I didn't fancy the idea of being watched while we ate... and we'd already mentioned to the kidlet that she'd be able to dress up etc...

:-)

Yay!!!! I'm so happy you added the extra magical pixie dust for your celebration. Congratulations. I'm all excited for your daughter. What a great Mom and Dad!

Just got back from my trip. My 7:00pm Be Our Guest reservation on a night of the Halloween party WAS honored. They said they honor 7:00pm reservations if you are there before 7 to check in. We were then escorted out of the park after dinner by a Cast Member. :)

Yup. Waisting at least an hour of valuable park time for everyone.

And this is why I won't pay. Sorry Disney but until you actually start making those people leave at 7 why should I pay extra to attend what they are getting for free?????

:confused3

And the big things I went for were fireworks, parades etc... those you can freeload and watch if you are careful. I sat near some folks who were laughing at the suckers who paid for the parade once. That was the final straw, I won't be back.

In the early years they actually cleared the park, now they "pretend"

As a CM who regularly works crowd control for the parties, we very much do NOT "pretend". However, no method of clearing the parks is perfect. Just like with everything else, if someone really wants to cheat the system and stay in the parks, they will find a way to do that, no matter how thorough we are in trying to get them out.

Even in the days when we used to do a "hard close", we had people who managed to stay behind, hiding in bushes and bathrooms, staying in the shadows until the parties started. I once discovered three twentysomething guests shimmying out of a tree in Adventureland at the start of a party. That was in 1989. They'd sat in that tree for two hours while the park was emptied and then re-opened, all to avoid paying. It's not a new phenomenon.

Part of it is perception. I cannot tell you how many times I have been flagged down by a guest who is demanding that I kick out the people sitting next to them on the parade route because the people don't have wristbands. And then when I go over to investigate, I discover that yes ... those people DO have wristbands, they were just hidden from view and the accusing guest couldn't see them. So a lot of the "I saw tons of people watching the parade for 'free'" complaints are coming from people who are assuming that people aren't wearing bands just because they can't see them. Lots of people wear costumes with longer sleeves or have costume parts (like capes or shawls) that can obscure part of their arm. Which is why we go person-to-person, close-up along the parade route and character lines and ask to see every single band on every single arm.

No matter what we do, there will be people who cheat to get in for free. But please don't say that we just "pretend" to check or to verify. We have a lot of CMs who work very hard to be sure that only the people who are supposed to be at the parties are actually at the parties. And I guarantee you that if people took the time to look at every single wrist they pass -- instead of assuming someone doesn't have a wristband because they can't see it at a quick glance -- folks would find very very few (if any) people around them who didn't pay.
