Will we be thrown out?

Why oh why can't Disney do the obvious thing and just not give out 7pm reservations. Just do. 6:55 and 7:05 - it would avoid so many issues on party nights!

Saying you need a party ticket as of 7 pm is pretty obvious. The party officially starts at 7 pm. You need a ticket to be in the park. And as the restaurants in question are in the park it is very clear you need a party ticket.

Oh boy. I really don't think they will seat you. If you go on line and make an ADR for a party night it tells you that as of 7 pm you need a party ticket in order to keep your ADR. You really should look for an early ADR if at all possible. If it is not possible, then show up early, but be prepared to be turned away.

Yeah. I agree it might be problematic. They have always made their cutoff based on what time the ADR was, not for when you arrive.

EXACTLY! They shouldn't even offer it if it's not going to work. Doesn't make sense. :(

They offer it for those people who have party tickets. And that exact information pops up if you make your ADRs on line.

That's the issue haha. Nothing popped up when I made it. Nothing in my email confirmation says I need a party ticket. But now everyone is saying I'm going to get turned away.

I think it's very possible. There's no CC guarantee on BOG, so I guess there's no harm in trying--just be prepared.

It does pop up. Every time. But you are not the first person to have missed it.:guilty:

Actually, there is a CC guarantee at BOG. I have a reservation at 6:45. Here are my notes on the reservation detail page.

You may be right. I didn't remember one for mine, but of course it was six months ago so I could be wrong. A CC would make sense there. :goodvibes

Yes it does and yes it did. You just didn't read the terms and conditions box. The very last line tells you that if your ADR is during a hard ticket event you must have admission to it or else you will not be seated.

Also I just checked and it gives you an advisory line right about where you input your name, email and number stating your ADR is during a special event and separate admission is required.

Okay just did a little experiment. Booked a restaurant during the party and read the confirmation email. It bold orange box it says "please note this requires special admission." My reservations for 7:00 BOG email doesn't have that.

Fingers crossed. Ill bring both emails and fight haha. If it works it works, if not no biggie :)

This is going to come as a surprise, but they made a colossal goof when they opened BOG for reservations for the first time last August. Initially the system did not request a CC guarantee. Then late morning, about the time some folks were finally able to get through on the phone lines since they opened at 7 that morning, word went around that it was supposed to have a CC guarantee and that any ADR without one would be dropped overnight in the system update. So everyone who had been on hold that morning for several hours had to call back and get on hold again.

Nice, huh?

And people don't get why I have no confidence in Disney's ability to pull off FP+. And might I add..... shocking that they made such a mess of their Villains event last Friday night.

To the PP with the BOG reservation, I'd probably be calling back, asking for a supervisor, and taking names and notes.

That is a terrific and simple idea. Just take the guesswork, the tiny chance of confusion, out of it all. Start the ADRs at 7:05 for the party. Boom, easy. Someone let IT know!

FWIW what the T&C box says today doesn't mean it said it yesterday, and it absolutely means it didn't say it 5 months ago. That puppy has changed MULTIPLE times in the last several months. And it might be different tomorrow.

Are you sure it is on a party night? That is really odd that a 7pm ADR on a party night wouldn't have a warning about needing a party ticket.

I have reservations for BOG at 7pm the night of mnsshp and talked to a cast member. They said if was fine.

As CF said, at 7 PM, you no longer have a valid ticket, and will not be able to make that reservation.

Phone CM's are wrong. . .frequently. . .call and change it now.

As an update - we went ahead and bought the tickets.

Why end our vacation on a sour note? Be escorted from a park (regardless of the reasons), not cool. I didn't fancy the idea of being watched while we ate... and we'd already mentioned to the kidlet that she'd be able to dress up etc...

:-)

From what I understand, once your meal is finished a CM will escort you to the front of the park to the exit. You will not be able to visit Cinderella as all attractions from 7PM-12PM are reserved only for people with MNSSHP tickets. So your dinner reservation is ok but if you are not going to buy tickets to the party you will only be able to use your Fp+from 6:50-6:59 which would be impossible if you are at dinner. Btw there is a lot more to do at the party than just fireworks and parade - there is trick or treating, special character meet and greets and a villains show in front of the castle. Plus the fireworks and parade are exclusive to the party (can't be seen anywhere or at any other time). Party guests are given wrist bands so they are easily identified and CMs throughout the park at 7:00 herd guests without the bands to the front of the park to exit.

Have a great time at the party - your daughter will love it!

Thank you!!!!

... and thanks to everyone for putting me "straight" - I'm SO glad I asked the question before we turned up. I would have been mortified, my little girl would have been disappointed - all-in-all... not good.

SO... thanks to everyone again... :-)

Here's hoping we ALL enjoy it, and my DD has a super FABULOUS birthday :D :D

Here's my little Merida - with her Merida :D :D

I think that's an awesome choice - why risk it, right? Besides, the party is a blast! Have a great time!
