Made our reservations on the DDP the other day. We got Boma, 50s Prime Time, Crystal Palace, Akershus, Chef Mickey's, Ohana, Supercalifradgilistic and Whispering Canyon. We've done a couple of these before, but we wanted to do something different this time. Not sure how the food is. Will we be okay or should I make some changes?

We love all those accept Crystal Palace. That was the nastiest place I've ever seen. Even with the characters...not worth it.

We have done most of those and enjoyed them. I am surprised by all the negatives about CP I thought people really liked it there!

Yours are very similar to ours for Sept. We have Chef Mickey's, Whispering Canyon, 'Ohana, Le Cellier, Cape May, Boma, and Crystal Palace. I hear lots of negative reviews of different restaurants on here. I've never had a "nasty" meal at Disney. I suppose those people have a more sophisticated pallette than me. I didn't care for Coral Reef when we went last time but the food wasn't gosh awful! ;)

Out of the ones you have listed, the only restaurant I would consider changing is CM. We have had dinner and breakfast there and both were very disappointing. The characters were so rushed and the food was just so-so. Other than that, we really like all of the other ones you have listed. I too am very surprised to hear about the negative reviews with Crystal Palace....granted we had lunch there once and haven't returned but this past September we ate breakfast there and really liked it, we liked it so much that we are doing it again in May, possibly twice.

We've never eaten at 50s Prime Time or Akershus, but out of the others, the only meal we ever had at Disney that was bad, is CP dinner :(. It's been quite a few years since we've eaten there, but we are hesitant to give it another try because we just can't forget our experience :sad2:.

What makes Crystal Palace so horrible? We have it booked for late breakfast out of convenience, already in MK. Would you prefer to leave MK for a late breakfast and come back?

We love CP, especially for breakfast. It's definitely a family favorite. I'm not sure why all the negative reviews of it. We much prefer it over Chef Mickey's, which was probably the worst meal we've had at Disney World - not horrible, but enough that we have no desire to eat there again.

We really enjoyed Boma. We looked at the Prime Time menu, but chose Mama Melrose and Brown Derby for our DHS days - both of which were good. We haven't had a bad meal at Disney, either, but we haven't done many buffets.

We always eat at CP but last time it was just not as good and was giving CM's a run for its money for on worst meal. The food was having issues with temperature, the omelette station was taking forever, there were many dishes that were down to that last yucky spoonful that no one wants and it took them forever to refill those dishes, there were numerous dirty tables around us and people waiting outside to be seated but no one cleared those table our entire meal, the service was slow and the characters were even slower coming around yet rushed away quickly. It just was not a good meal to the point that we will be skipping it for the first time next trip.
