You probably won't want to go back to a studio. I know I don't.
I was the same way - we only have one child and when we bought in Dec 2006, she wasn't quite 2 yet - so we were fine with a studio.
Well, the last time we went, we had some extra points and we couldn't stay longer because of work schedules, so we got a one bedroom. WE LOVED IT.
Now, I want to add on more points, so that I can always get a one bedroom and since our daughter is in school now, we have to ahdere to school schedules where before we didn't - so I think we are going to eventually buy more points.
It is nice having the full kitchen, but we don't cook on vacation - but we stayed at Old Key West and the counter service restaurant only had outdoor seating - I don't like eating outside - so we got food and brought it to our room - it was so nice having the table and chairs and if we did have leftovers, we can put them in the refrigerator and heat it up later for a late night snack.
Also, I usually don't wash clothes on vacation unless we stay for a full week, then I might do one load - but I loved having the dryer to put wet bathing suits in.
I also loved having the extra space and the jacuzzi was nice, too. Another thing about the 1 bedroom we like versus a studio is that there are 2 TVs - one in the living room and one in the bedroom, so daughter can watch cartoons in the living room and husband can watch the news or whatever he wants to watch in the bedroom. I don't get a TV, but I'm not a TV person, I rather sit out on the balcony and enjoy the view.
Anyway, what I'm saying is that if you get spoiled easily like I do, then you won't want to go back to a studio, unless it is for a short trip like just 2 or 3 nights. For a full week, I would definitely want the 1 bedroom, which is why
DVC is perfect for us - it suits the way we like to vacation.
