It may depend. If completely unused, they may just require that you hold the credit. If partially used because you had planned more days than you could use, they will likely either refund the unused days or issue comp tickets. I expect you'll need to stop at Guest Relations or a ticket window as it won't be automatic.

Thank you. We had 3-day tickets that are date specific for use this week, but we have cancelled our trip. It will be fine if we have to carry a credit for future use, but I may call them sometime to ask.
My trip was canceled a couple of years ago due to hurricane - they closed the parks but would have allowed us to stay at the resort. We canceled the whole trip and they gave us a full refund.

Did I miss something? I see that partially-used tickets will be extended for 1 year. I don't see anything about fully-unused tickets and therefore presume those will carry forward as a credit and need to have the dates adjusted as usual.
Partially used multi-day theme park tickets with a validity window impacted by closure due to Hurricane Ian will be automatically extended to allow use of the remaining unused ticket days through September 30, 2023. In order to enter a park, both a park reservation and valid ticket for the same park on the same date is required.
A summary of some scenarios:
Package (room+tickets) - if you cancel the reservation, the tickets will cancel along with the room. Full refund and cancellation fees waived for arrivals 9/26 thru 10/4.
Package (room+tickets) - if you reschedule, the tickets will be adjusted along with your room reservation. Change fees waived for arrivals 9/26 thru 10/4 but your new package will be priced by the new dates. Be sure to make theme park reservations for your new dates.
Room-only with separate tickets - whether you cancel or change the room reservation, the tickets do not automatically cancel or adjust. Fully-unused tickets will hold a credit for use towards new tickets/new dates. You will need to change the ticket to new dates. Be sure to make theme park reservations for the new dates.
Offsite with tickets - the tickets will hold credit for use towards new tickets/new dates. You will need to change the ticket to new dates. Be sure to make theme park reservations for the new dates.
