Will Universal Lose Creative Team?

Came across this story http://www.marvel.com/company/index.htm?sub=viewstory_current.php&id=1243 and now I'm wondering what impact this will have on US/IOA in the future. They are going to base their design team in Hollywood, Orlando and Dubai so I'm wondering if the prospect of building a park like this from scratch will have some of the better design people from both Universal and Disney jumping ship.

i read that article last week.

i think nbc will do what it takes to get by with as little money as possible.

i don't see any new big attractions coming up for this year.


i don't think a "new" park in the orlando or florida area is going to happen
some people leave their disney and universal jobs, but then, there are more standing in line to take the openings.

I know that there won't be a new park coming to Orlando but to keep the parks fresh, you need your best creative people. Not just the ones with ideas, but also the clout to make ideas happen. As this park in Dubai is going to base their creative teams in Hollywood, Orlando and Dubai, it seems like they will be going after the best talent out there without forcing a move to Dubai on them.

When IOA opened, some of the best minds at disney jumped ship. There are rumors on big happenings at IOA this year with a new coaster, yes I said coaster, in JP...not all the other rumblings you've been hearing. There is also something I heard personally come from the mouth of an executive that there are plans for TWO more Universal parks and two more hotels. Now, we were at a hotel, and he was helping us with a problem, so I dont know what kind of executive he was....but he did say that Universal has the land, and the first new park will be coming in 2010...that they will make the announcement late next year. 2010 is also the year that Wet N Wild's lease runs out on Int. Drive, and all the rides they've been putting in are rides that can easily be removed. Nothing solid and dug into the ground. Could Wet N Wild be moving onto Universal property at last?
Mind you this is only speculation and rumor....but its one that I've heard before.

As far as the Marvel Park..its in Dubai. I dont see them leaving unless they plan on building a park in the states. I see them working for them as consultants and what have you, as IOA has nothing really solid confirmed as of yet.
