Lots of planning and changing and planning going on but as of right now, I will need about 400 points for our October 2010 trip. I have 10 points from '08 banked and Dec. is my UY. This is what I will be using. Does it look legal?

• 10 banked points from '08
• borrow 170 points from '09
• borrow 170 points from '10
• borrow 50 points from '11

Can I borrow that far out or will I have to wait until Dec. 1 of this year to book that last 50 points?


And I am already scheming for more points.

Your banked points from 2008 could be used before Nov 30 2010.
In Dec 2009 you get 170 points which are for 2009/2010. You could use these
In Dec 2010 you get 170 points which you could borrow for an Oct 2010 Trip
You can't borrow against 2011 until December 2010.

So, for October 2010 it sounds like you'd have 360 points to use.

If you wait to go until December, you loose your 10 points from 2008.

Abstract thinking was never my thing...even having a Masters degree. I need to make my THV reservation for October 7, 2010 on Nov 7, 2009. That gives me 10 from '08, 170 from '09, and 170 from '10; right?

for spelling it out for me. I feel like a knob but man this can get confusing.

We are planning a great trip. After a little adjusting and input from the peanut gallery, I am 16 points shy for my 11 night/12 day THV/SSR vacation. Looks like I will be looking into renting those via transfer or maybe checking out a cash DVC member rate for the last night.

I told DH that if I had more than 170 points then this wouldn't be an issue. He laughed He knows me too well.
