Will this work - Na'vi, Safari, then TH breakfast?

My plan is to RD Na'vi followed by a 9:25am Safari FP. I'd like to do breakfast at TH with DS7. The only ADR I could find is at 9:55am. Is there any way I'll be able to do both Na'vi and the Safari and still be on time for the TH ADR? I'm still on the hunt for a later ADR (10:30ish), but I'm concerned I may have to skip the Safari FP. Not the end of the world, as we could go later in the day (we'll have lots of extra time since my FOP FP isn't until 4:30), but not ideal. Thoughts? For a 9am AK opening, how early should we arrive to get through Na'vi as quickly as possible? Thanks!

I think it’s definitely doable. They will hold your reservation for up to 15 minutes past your reservation time. As long as you’re on a truck at Safari by 930, you should be done by 10am and TH is a very short walk. Good luck.

I think you should be fine for Navi, as the majority of people there will be headed to FOP. So that ride should be pretty quick. The safari ride is a long-ish ride. But again, you should be fine and make your 955am Tusker House ADR on time. As pp suggested, they hold your ADR for 15 min.

Perhaps others can chime in about your suggested arrival time, but I'd suggest half hour before park open. Not sure if thats sufficient enough.

Thanks for your help! Good to know it sounds feasible. Though it's not really in my DNA to be late, it's helpful to know that we have a little bit of leeway on the ADR.

I'll search for some recent posts to see if I can get a sense of a good time to arrive at AK.

It all depends on how long of a wait you have for the Safari. You hould be ok, but you won't have a lot of extra time. I would tap in at Safari 5 minutes early.

Do you think I can get up to the Safari by 9:20? I can look for an earlier FP, but wasn't sure I'd make it through Navi. Any thoughts on what time to arrive at MK to get through Navi by 9:10ish?

Your reservation is for a 1 hour window. You could make a 9am fastpass and would be able to use it anytime between 9am and 10am

Oh, yes, I understand that. I'm sorry I wasn't clearer in my reply. I'd have to stalk MDE to get an earlier FP, so I wasn't sure it was worth the effort if I'm not likely to get through Na'vi in time for an earlier FP.

Yes they will let you use your FP 5 min earlier...so since your FP is for 925am, you will be able to check-in at 920am. I honestly think you'll be fine. You should be able to make your ADR on time. Like I said, they'll hold your ADR for 15 min. :)

I would be sure to get to AK at least 30 minutes before the park opens. Most of the crowd should be heading to FoP, so th eline to Navi should be short. Its only about a 5 minute ride so you should have plenty of time to get to Safari by 9:15.

As with many questions of this type - the answer is "as long as everything is running normally you should be fine". Definitely doable but you also don't have much leeway built in (although TH will give you at least 10-15 minutes leeway on the arrival time).

Yes, this is always an issue to be aware of. We did rope drop twice last week at AK, and both times NaVi was down and we never got a chance to ride it.

I did something similar to what you're planning during our June trip, and to be honest I found it incredibly stressful. We had a 10 a.m. Safari FP, and a 10:30 Tusker House breakfast reservation. The FP line for the Safari was the longest I have ever seen it- we waited in the FP line a good 15 or 20 minutes. And the ride itself was 20/25 minutes. We were still able to be seated for our breakfast when we finally got to Tusker House, but I hardly enjoyed the Safari because I was so concerned about making our breakfast ADR.

If you're going to RD Na'vi and keep the 9:55 ADR, I would consider moving your Safari FP to after breakfast (or, as you said, try to move the ADR). Avoid the stress! :)

No. Because you will not be able to book any FPs and your dining reservation will disappear a week before your trip.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm going to keep looking for a later ADR and if worse comes to worse, I'll move the Safari FP or won't use it at all. I really don't want to be stressed out over making an ADR.

I haven't been to AK since March, but if they still let people into Pandora earlier than the rest of the park, then you can rope drop Navi, then rope drop Safari when you're done. We did that the first week of March; we had to wait about 10 minutes to be allowed into Africa, then my family rode the Safari (without FP) while I waited by Tusker (was pregnant and couldn't ride). I can't guarantee that is still how things would go, but the wait for Navi is so short, you're probably better off using the standby line for Safari if you can't get an earlier FP.

This is what I'm hoping to do. How early before park opening did you arrive at AK?

Half an hour, maybe? Possibly not even that early. We arrived after they opened the turnstiles and barely before they let people into Pandora.
This is great to hear. It's supposed to be a low crowd day (2), but I don't want to count on that helping us at RD (or at all). No EMH (yet), so I'm happy to know we likely won't have get there pre-dawn.
