Will this FASTPASS idea work?

Has anyone tried this (not idle speculation!)?

FAmily enters DL, wife leaves us and takes all tickets. She enters DCA and tries to get FPs for all with all tickets at Soarin, the she joins us back at DL.

Will our tix process a FP at Soarin if we haven;'t scanned them through DCA gates or will the fact they have been scanned once (at DL gate) be enough?

Not sure how "smart" the machines are. Thanks!

First thing to consider is whether to get DL FPs first and then send DW over to DCA. I would.

Second thing to consider is that since GRR is not connected to the FP network she can get both Soarin and GRR FPs on her jaunt to DCA.

So as i was reading i was thinking the same thing.

- family enters DL.
- Runner takes off down Main St. w/ tickets & picks up FP at SM or Indy (starting the FP collecting process at DL earlier), while family takes pics at town square (but don't annoy Goofy or he'll chase you & you'll be on you tube.)
- Runner returns to town square & hands off tickets to DW who goes to DCA & picks up Soarin' FPs (& Grizz FPs since they're disconnected).
- DW meets back up with family in DL at wherever.

Oh wow, I didn't think that would work (because they weren't scanned at the entrance).

We did the Segway tour in DCA and I took my and my bf's tickets to Soaring to do that, and when I scanned it, it told me the guest hadn't entered the park or something like that. But we hadn't entered either park, technically, so that I guess was why.

I was thinking the same thing.

Except for DH would be doing the running and meeting back wherever.

Also, while she's over there, she could make a quick trip around the corner to Grizzly River Run and grab fastpasses for that too, since GRR fastpass machines aren't connected to the others.

EDIT: Whoops! Now that I read through everyone's statements, I see Trey already mentioned this. He's GOOD!
