Will They Ship Merchandise to Your Home

We are flying down Thursday, and will be on the 1/18 sailing of the Wonder. At first I didn't plan to buy much in the gift shops, since we've done two Magic cruises, but started thinking about things I might want, like another large photo album, another cruise ship replica (have the Magic, want one of the wonder too), another coffee mug, Christmas ornament, t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc. and really don't have much room in our luggage for things I might buy, so I'm wondering if the gift shops on the ship will ship your purchases home for you? Does anyone know?

I don't think that they can. Since you're technically in the Bahamas when you're on board the ship, you'd have to carry your purchases through Customs with you and list them on your declaration sheet, if you've spent over your allowance.

If I remember correctly they will only offer to ship home any silent auctions items that you have successfully bid on. I suggest packing an extra bag in your suitcase for your purchases.

They also ship those large resin statues of Mickey & Minnie called shipmates and the Captain Mickey statue. They charge about $60 buck to ship them on top of the cost of the statues.

I have often said DCL should hook up with Fed Ex or UPS to set up shop at the terminal (like the airlines) on debarkation day to ship passengers's purchases home. I think it would be a great incentive for people for buy more stuff if they knew they did not have to lug it all home on the plane!!

Maybe not at the port, but I am sure there is a UPS Store or Mailboxes somewhere nearby. With us having a rental car, it might be worth it to ship some stuff home and not drag it on the plane with us! I may have to think about that since we will be in Orlando for 2 weeks. I may even ship a box of dirty clothes home if we don't need them!
