Just back from our first trip to dlp and the kids are watching the parade on repeat on you tube (to the point it's driving us mad the music!) and they are asking to go back!
Just wondering if the current parade will be on next year or if they generally change things year on year?also if anyone has any tips on how to book disney on a budget?
This year our son is 6 and daughter 3 so booked the 2 nights free ofer and kids under 7 stay free. Next year our son would be 7. We stayed at the sequoia lodge (£660 for 4 nights), £440 return flights and spent £900 in 4/5 days on food etc! (We didn't have vouchers, and ate at inventions, cafe mickey etc. our evening meals were still 100 + euros elsewhere)

We live up north so don't fancy driving over to France really if we can help it.

I can't see them changing the parade next year, if anything they may add or change a float. The current ones they have been using since 15th Anniversary with a different tune. Think they added the Princess on since then.

Disney on a budget is managable. Eating at buffets like Plaza Gardens (drinks are included) is good value. Buffets are about €25 an adult children less and their's includes a soft drink.

Vouchers aren't the deal they used to be, really they only help budget you money on food.

6 of us went last year including 4 adults last year and we didn't even come near to spending £900 on food and souvenirs and we did buy a fair bit and we only stayed one night less. Having said that we didn't eat at Inventions etc.

The parades tend to last a few years. The last one was introduced for the 15th anniversary so lasted 5 years.
DLP tends to be cheapest in the winter (February half term) as they have under 12's go free. They have the 2 nights 2 days free offer on at the moment if you want 4 nights.
Jet 2 do cheapish flights from Leeds/Bradford airport, sadly easyjet no longer fly from Newcastle.
Have fun planning.:coffee:
