After much consideration and opinion from reading these boards, we're looking at using our DVC points next Oct. 17-21 with travel on the 17th & 21st. Our baby will be just over 5 months by then, so we'd like to go when the parks won't be too crowded and the weather will still be a bit warm. Should we be safe going that weekend? Columbus Day is 10/8 and we hear that the weekend prior and the week following that day is relatively busy. I know that the weekends pick-up due to F&WF, but we're hoping that's just Epcot which we can do on other days.
We've vacationed in the past during the week before Thanksgiving, two weeks before Christmas and twice in January, so we're used to relatively slow parks and being able to take our time. We're not necessarily worried about wait times as we know we won't be hitting a lot of the big rides. We'd like to be able to take our time and walk through the parks without manuevering around a lot of people. Thanks!
