Will There Be Live Coverage of Volcano Bay Opening Day?

Are you guys going to do live coverage of opening day at Volcano Bay? If so, please tell us where/which social media format? I will be there the 2nd and 4th opening days, and I'm dying to find out how Tapu Tapu and no standby lines is going to work. Thanks

You didn't ask me, but in the past, they typically use twitter and some instagram when they are covering new openings/things of this nature.
And then, obviously, put together vids for youtube that day, if not the next.

Well, we will actually be on vacation at Volcano Bay the day after opening, so I don't think I would get a chance to see the videos for days. Do you know where to look on twitter and instagram. I rarely follow things there. Thanks

I would just follow the Dis twitter account. I'm sure there will be some sort of hashtag too.

I will not do that. I actually saw my first Volcano Bay T.V. commercials yesterday, and I yelled, "You are not a 3rd gate!"

I feel the same way. Almost seems like it could be a SNL skit at the ceremony where they announce the opening of their third theme park ... and one of the media members yells "It's not a third gate, it's only a water park!"

I would actually be impressed if one part of the NBC family lampooned another part like that. They'd deserve kudos for that. Fingers crossed!

Thanks. I found TheDIS twitter yesterday, but I didn't think about looking for a Universal one. I actually was already following TheDIS. Goes to show you how much I look at Twitter For some reason, I was thinking of their individual accounts when I read your first response. Hopefully, someone will do some live video or commentary so that I can get an idea of how Tapu Tapu is working. Some of the comments about VB on the Universal forum are getting me paranoid, and I am thinking of buying Express Pass for it, since it's not included with hotel stay. It seems weird to need it though, if you have Tapu Tapu This trip is my son's and I first vacation by ourselves, usually daddy comes along too. I have never been to an sort of big opening like this, so I am having a really hard time planning. Luckily, they have happy island drinks at VB, which will help

FWIW, all of Universal's printed promotional material for Volcano Bay calls it a "Water Theme Park."

So ... halfway in between?

I dont know the in and outs either, but if its similar to the Jimmy Fallon thing like they said, i imagine its like this:

fast pass will get you on with no or limited wait for attractions, while the tapu tapu will be certain designated times you can come back to ride with the limited wait (and is free).

It depends on how you want your day to go. And since it will have JUST opened, i have no idea how packed it will be and if you'll get better value from getting the express pass when you can go as you please, or just do the tapu tapu.
