Will there be better prices at Swan/Dolphin?

I think we have decided to stay at the S or D for our trip in April 09. Problem is, there dont seem to be any really good prices, discounts etc at the moment. Is that because April is a peak time so there wont be discounts? or is it because it is too far away?

I just dont know if we should book now or wait a while for any potential discounts. For example, the price my travel agent quoted me for 2 rooms was around $1000 per night - how crazy is that!?!?! I can get the same on expedia for about $600, although this too seems a little pricey.

Call the S/D or Starwood directly. I've booked the teacher rate for June 09, so they do have discounts out.

Post your April dates, and I will call for you tomorrow. What kind of discount should I ask for - teacher, government employee, etc. Also, let me know if you have any room preferences and I will ask about that too!

Hey thanks so much singinglizzie - our dates are 13th - 19th April. I dont think I would be eligible for any of those discounts, but curious what their best price would be on a Junior Suite or 2 interconnecting rooms. Thanks again.
