Will there be any issues if I need to modify my reservation and drop a few nights at the beginning?

As soon as I saw the The Chew was coming to Epcot, I was lucky enough to add on a few nights to the beginning of our trip.......just in case we get tickets. However, if we don't get tickets, we want to go back to our original plans. Our FP+ window is almost here, and I will be making our FP+ for our expected park days.

1st - Will DVC allow me to drop the rooms at the beginning? (We've dropped them at the end before with no problems.)

2nd - Will my FP+ be OK if I drop those beginning nights? I don't want our FP's to be cancelled. I don't know how all that works.

Anyone have experience with dropping nights at the beginning when you have already booked your FP's?

Thanks for the help.

Yes, you should be ok dropping days at the front. I changed my check-in day once due to a flight cancellation & had no issues.
Always best to call MS & tell them what you want to do. Easier than trying to do it online.
FP should be ok since they're linked to tickets-not rooms.

Only possible problem could be with fast pass, if made 60 days from the original date. If you drop the first 2 days, those fast passes may be get dropped. I would check with MS when you call to drop the days.

Just clarifying that you must drop the days 31 or more days out or the points will go into holding.

With regards to fast passes, they will indeed be dropped if you remove the two front days and you're outside of the 30-day window when you are now no longer staying onsite. Your fast passes for your onsite days will be fine, but they won't let you take advantage of the onsite benefit of 60 days if you're not staying on property, so those two first days will be removed.
