Will there be a new menu released for Le Cellier?

I believe as of March, Le Cellier is changing to a 2TS credit for dinner. Just wondered if the menu would change and when this would be released?

This is from WDW's website:

Effective March 1, 2011, dinner at Le Cellier Steakhouse will be elevated to a Signature dining experience, offering an exciting new menu that will change seasonally and an expanded wine list.

I don't expect we'll see it until March travelers start reporting back, though it is possible that Disney will publish the new menu on their site as soon as it becomes available.

It better be a mjaor make over to get 2 credits. I think they are changing because of the limited seating and the cult following that supply and demand has created. To be honest, we finally snaged a 6 PM slot on the fly two weeks ago.... it was OK, but I would never go back for a 2 credit meal.

I think there is too much hype for this place. Eh?pirate:

So where did you think was better?

We've eaten at almost every restaurant now and it's time to make our ADRs for the next trip. Have we missed someplace?

For our coming trip we're not getting the dining plan, so I'm hoping this creates greater availability for Le Cellier when my 180 comes up. Last time I called on my 180, Le Cellier was already booked for the entire day, likely due to the +10, so hopefully we'll get an ADR this time. We really enjoyed it on our trip two years ago.

I just find it interesting that its changing to 2TS in March and there are people booked into it already who have no idea what its changing to. Although we really enjoyed our Dinner here last time I'm not sure I would book it without knowing what was on the menu!

I would book it for 2TS without knowing anything about it just to try it because we like doing that kind of thing. We've enjoyed just experiencing the different Signature Dining places we've tried. Sometimes it's not necessarily about the food, but the experience of having done it.

Malani:
For steak, Shula's and Yachtsman are far superior to Le cellier.

I guess they finally decided to do something about the dry, gristly steaks that we got there in 2002 and 2006. :)

In my experience, many people are often disappointed when they have expectations like that. I don't see any clear indications that lots and lots of Epcot guests were clamoring for the opportunity to pay $39 for a filet mignon rather than paying $35 for a filet mignon, even with a quality-upgrade. Most comments I hear, about Disney Dining, especially IRL, is that things are too expensive, rather than not expensive enough. :\ If anything, I think the issue is that those two menu prices (one from Bistro de Paris, the other from Le Cellier) are getting too close to each other, while leaving Le Cellier a 1TS restaurant. A beef filet at Rose and Crown, for example, runs $24. So Le Cellier is, effectively, already a Signature-level restaurant, but they're simply not charging DDP patrons the Signature-level "price".

So you should expect a very minor upgrade, just enough to be able to point to a few things that have changed, but nothing "major" at all.

While I agree with you that Le Cellier is most overrated restaurant, I think that that's not the issue here, but rather, as I mentioned above, the menu prices are.

I agree. I think they were losing too much potential revenue on DDP patrons. I'm really surprised it took them this long to change back to a signature restaurant.
