:flower: Hi all
Just got back last Sunday from an awesome 3 day cruise to the Bahanas and castaway cay!
The weather was awesome except for the first night out and we experienced very slight seas the whole cruise......
I never even had to take dramamine!!!
Well here is my question.....
How long does it take for the rocking sensation to stop???
Wondering if something else is going on as I have not felt that great anyway since i returned due to the temperature change.....

Any help would be appreciated :flower:

Some people feel this for weeks, others not at all. I didn't notice it at all, my wife had it for about 2 days... If you could only get your SO to wait on you & make the bed twice a day you would think your still on the ship!!!

I was that way on and off for about a week -- who knew you could get "land sick?!? :)

yes, it does stop after a couple days....was funny for us, 2 days after cruise, standing in line at disneyland and all 5 of us are slowly moving back and forth in unison! Took us until after our flight home to get "land legs" back!

How is this "rocking" feel?Is it like a moving back and forth feel?

Could be an inner ear infection. That is what happened to my husband when we got back from cruise. Doc said cause was rocking of boat and also plane ride. If it continues, you might want to get checked.

After an incredible rough crossing between San Francisco and Hawaii - I could not get my land legs. It was the most bizarre (nauseating) feeling. The minute I got back on the ship I felt better. I learned my lesson. When I got home I left my sea bands on for a few days and I was fine. I do that now after every cruise and I am fine.

The extended use of the sea bands is a great idea. :wizard:

First cruise I felt it for a good week, 2nd cruise I felt it even longer and ended up at the dr. with an URI. 3rd cruise I felt it very little (and we had very rough seas, go figure)

very similar to what happened to husband and i on a cross country train ride. It takes about 3 days as i recall. Still i cant believe that a cruise ship rocks as much as an Amtrak coach even with the lower seating.

My 'rocking' lasted for about 2 to 3 weeks. I continued the Bonine after we got off the ship. I was about 1 day short of going to the doc to be sure I didn't have anything else going on (which I didn't).

Funny, my husband got seasick and I did not. I rocked post-cruise and he didn't. Go figure :confused3 .

I took Bonine every afternoon starting the day before sailing. DD and DH waited till they felt bad at first dinner, then they begged for them. They never got physically ill, but they went to bed after very little dinner.
After the first (fast speed and kinda' rough) night, we were totally fine. I never even felt like I was on a ship. I've read that some people feel sea legs for a day or two after getting off, while others for weeks. Luckily, we only felt it the day we drove home from the cruise. We were ok as long as driving, but every time we stopped, the restroom would sway once or twice for me. Once home and unpacking, DH decided he had a problem too. All of us took one more Bonine and were fine the following day.
