Will the US suspend the Passenger Vessels Services Act?

Those cruises all stop in Victoria, though usually just for a few hours. I suppose if they refuel in Alaska and not Victoria then it's definitely do able.

Right. To not stop would require a PVSA waiver. But to say a 7-nught alaska cruise from seattle is not doable because of distance is proven inaccurate by how often those lines have done it.

If all these cruise companies want to start paying their full share of taxes in the US and respect our labor laws I am good with it.

I am okay with some meet in the middle aspects like the crew does not need to be American. Also okay with certain aspect regarding working hours as long as their is adequate compensation for the longer work hours.

Would really have to dig in to it but not just a blanket exception.
