I plan on booking breakfast dining reservations as early (8am) when the restaurants open. Will the resort bus be runing before the parks open?

Buses to get guests to early breakfast ADRs start running by 6:30 a.m. or earlier. They don't run as often as they do once the parks are open, so be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to get to the park, go through the gates and walk to the restaurant.

I was talking to the reservation agent at Disney and she said the bus starts 1 hour before the parks open.

She was mistaken.
That is the official start time, and that is in fact when regular full-frequency service starts.

But all of the parks have early-morning breakfast options, so "breakfast buses" start running earlier. They run less frequently, and some make more stops on the way. It's recommended to be at the bus stop 60 minutes before the in-park breakfast reservation; earlier if traveling resort-to-resort.

Right. Basically what I said in the first response.

Thanks, it is good we can ask questions here.

Once I have made my reservations online, I will call the dining line and ask. I will also ask when we get to the resort.

Yep. Just explaining the phone cm's answer. The official info about "early morning transportation" is way down at the bottom of the WDW internal web page, after everything about DTD buses, FtW buses, etc.

Regardless of what goes on behind the scenes, the fact is that bus service IS available that early. It doesn't run as often as the "regular" buses, but it's available for us to use.

I have always made breakfast reservation before the parks open and there was always a bus at my resort there to greet me to get me there. You will make your reservation, I'm sure of it.

I'm thinking I need to copy and paste this to the Theme Parks thread about CMs never being wrong!!
In any case...buses start running at 6:30am. They do not run as frequently as the regular park buses do. So plan accordingly.

You will get the same answer that you got the first time. Disney Dining has no idea how the transportation works. When you get to the resort, you 'might' get the correct answer from the front desk, but you may very well get the same 'an hour before the park opens' answer...which is catagorically incorrect.
