Will the food courts do carry out containers for meals?

I'm specifically interested in All Star Sports. Can you do take out?

I'm specifically interested in All Star Sports. I want to take the meal offsite, not just back to my room.

I don't know about All Star Sports, but at POR, they have a stack of lids that fit on the plates and there are bags to put everything in.

I believe there are no actual take out containers. However, I have been given a paper bag and extra plates to make transporting food back to my room easier at a WDW resort.

The counter won't give you a "takeout container" but once your food is served there will be takeout containers for you to pack yourself. It's usually somewhere near the condiments and/or drinks. There will be boxes, bags, etc.

I used large bags that were available at the Mara during our last trip and was able to easily place the food containers in them. This was really helpful at breakfast time. I would suspect this is similar at most resorts.

When ordering, ask for extra plates to put over your food. You can then just walk the entire tray back to your room. If you need to keep it for later, take some zipper type bags with you in your luggage and store it that way. But I would highly suggest just taking the entire tray back to your room and then organize it there. That way, you can pick up condiments, napkins and utensils and have those there as well. Once you have it organized or eaten, you can leave the tray in your room or, to be more polite, take it back to the food court on your way to the parks.

Can not comment on the all stars but I know at AKL, SSR, and WL they had plastic covers to put over the plates and would give you a bag if you asked. Most of the time the plastic covers are where the condiments are.

When I stayed at Movies in August they had plastic lids readily available that fit over the plates.

We've always been able to get plastic covers that fit over the plates at Pop Century.
Sometimes they were at the end of the line on top of the food cases and sometimes you had to ask for one.
I would imagine All Stars would have them...

I've gotten them with lids at the All Stars before.
When I ordering I would tell the CM that I am taking it to go and they would put the plastic lids on the plates.
Not sure about bags, I always just used a tray from the food court to carry them to my room.

When we were there last year they had some. When we went up to order our food they put it on an oval shaped paper plate, that is the norm. Then when we got got down the line and they hand it to you, you just ask for a cover. They are clear plastic covers that lock lightly onto the paper plates. We did this quite often, especially if DH went to get dinner while I gave DS shower or etc.

Plastic lids that are very high to allow for pile of food that snap on to the paper plates. Was just at POP and you didn't even have to ask they had stacks of them on shelves at the end of the food lines.
