Will the doodlebops concert be crazy Sept 6th??

I posted this on another thread but thought I might get a better response here.

I want to take my DS to the doodlebops concert on Sept 6th the first day they show in disney but I am afraid it will be crazy. I heard it was last year. any thoughts?? I figured the Fri and sat would be way worse

All I can say is that last year's first day of Doodlebops shows drew crazy crowds. MGM was packed wherever we went that day and the wait to get tickets was the worst thing I'd ever seen. We managed to get tickets for the last show of the day (at park opening) after waiting for 40 minutes in line, only to have to show up at least 30 minutes before the show and crowd together and wait some more. It was a great time in the show....but the waits were awful. I love Disney, but I mark this experience up as my very worst in all of my trips. Who knows, maybe they have a better system by now.

Thanks. Maybe I will wait until that friday for the second show and hope its not as bad. Maybe it will rain! That would be great for me. Last year it rained all day when we went to see the wiggles and there was no wait at all. In fact we got tickets to see the second show becuase of breakfast plans and after BK we walked by where they were having the show and they were calling people to come in and fill seats so we just went to the first showing and it was great, the rain kept people away I think.

Darn. That's the night we were planning to see Fantasmic. We aren't trying to see the Doodlebops, but will it increase crowds in the park overall? Should I move Fantasmic to a non Doodlebops night?

We were going to MGM that Friday too. I can't see how I can change my schedule. We're going to Blizzard Beach in the am & then I have ADR's for dinner at MGM. Will we be able to any shows on a Doodlebop day? Man I hate those Doodlebops! I normally just hate them on TV, now I'm gonna have to hate them in person too?
