Will the CM be upset with me?

I overbooked my ADRs because our itinerary has changed a few times since I started trip planning (you know how it is). Now I have to call and cancel about five ADRs, but I feel bad that the CM who gets this call will have lower booking stats than everyone else.

Do cancellations affect their performance ratings or can I cancel without anxiety?
 
I have cancelled several ADRs and not a single CM has taken it personally or threatened to find me and beat me with a whip...I think they'll survive and you should go ahead and do your cancellations.
Think of it this way, there are probably HUNDREDS of other people dying for your time slot and when you open it back up it'll be like Pixie Dust for those people.
 
We had to keep calling to change dining plans and they were wonderful about it... I'm sure they are used to doing this. Also, it's better that you call and cancel a meal you're not going to use...If you notice on the boards, people can't get their dining reservations cuz it's booked up. You may be freeing it up for someone else to be able to enjoy...
 
I'm much more concerned about people spending $$$ to go to WDW who want my ADR that I'm not going to use. I call and cancel. Never has a CM reacted disappointed or upset. I have, on the other hand, often been thanked by them for being considerate enough to release a spot so someone else could have it.
 

Definitely change if necessary. The last time I did this the CM alluded to how frustrating it is when people make 2 and don't show up for one ADR. There are so many people trying to get ADRs that if you need to switch, it won't take long to get snatched up.
 
Think of it like making a return/exchange in a store. The cashiers all do it at one point in time. They don't earn a commission but they're not going to be angry with you for having something to return!

Definitely cancel asap so someone else will have the chance to get that opening. As another poster said, it might bring them a little bit of pixie dust. :wizard:
 
It's great that you are so concerned about calling and canceling your ADRs. I wish more people would be considerate to other families who have no places to dine. We always call and cancel in case something comes up and the CMs are always more than happy to assist us. Have a good trip!
