Will Starbucks come to DLRP parks?

Not sure how many of you have seen the drama going on over on the WDW boards due to Starbucks locations opening inside the parks. (One on Main Street - won't be themed like a normal Starbucks of course, but will serve their drinks and some of their pastries. And one in EPCOT.)

I personally would love this in DLRP - being lactose intolerant when I go in winter I can't have the hot chocolate or anyof the coffees - I'd love to be able to grab a soy Caramel Latte on a dark winter afternoon. :goodvibes Or a frappaccino on a hot day.

The village one is very welcome IMHO so would be great to have one in each park too.

I don't think they would/will in the near future as DLP changed over from Nescafé only last year. They now have Segafredo as a partner for a 5 year contract which is better but still not brillant.

I only drink black coffee as I don't drink milk at all and have Chai soja latte from SB occasionally over there. At home I drink oat milk in tea as soja wasn't doing me any good but of course I can't find that in the parks.

I would love a real coffee like Illy but it's not going to happen.

I'm all for change and there are loads of coporate logos in the parks already so why not SB ?

Re the US change I think some people need to get a life concerning SB as I have never seen such a carry on :rotfl:

I'd personally be against it but mainly due to the business practices of SB (not paying tax in the UK).

Adding a brand to Main Street doesn't particularly bother me as long as they theme it correctly.

We will have to wait five years until the contract runs out to find out at DLP.

I love Starbucks coffee but am in the camp of this being completely out of character to replace Main St Bakery in WDW.
Therefore I sincerely hope it is not replicated in DLP and think that SB's location in Disney Village or a similarly less iconic location than Main St is a much better option.

That said my highs and lows will have much more important things for DLP to address IMHO.

aw i would luv it as i love coffee, b4 it opened in the village i use go over to the outlet village to get a decent coffee as what they sell in the resort is yuk!!

EoS has better coffee (if you drink it black) than what they do in resort and the McCafé inside McDo has good choices too in the capuccino/frappuccino lines ;)

I'm an americano fan too :thumbsup2 It's 1,80€ in a McCafé and it is really good served in a proper cup and saucer. Depending who is making it I've ended up with double shots. :rotfl:

Plus if you want it to go they will do it for you rather than sending you to the fast food counter where it's 40cts cheaper machine coffee
