Will someone post 2006?

I guess we can't have everything.

DJ, can you wait until you cruise to book then fax your request as soon as you return home? This way you'd get the 10% discount and the $200 stateroom credit.

Will that 10% discount and $200 carry over to the 2006 cruise when I switch it? I don't want one of the 2005 cruises (we have a 3 day booked for July 2005 already).

So when the prices come out for the 2006, they will give me 10% off? Is that right? If I booked a different cruise while onboard?

DJ, It should carry over. It did for us on our cruise in June. We cruised in May 2002 and rebooked for the 7-day Western in July 2003. We really wanted to cruise in 2004 (not 2003) and wanted a Cat. 2, so I as soon as we got home I faxed a request to Inventory Control. When bookings opened for the remaining 2004 dates on Dec. 30, 2002, I called DCL and found out we had gotten a Cat. 2 and would be cruising on June 19. We did receive the 10% discount and the $200 stateroom credit. HTH

I am hoping to be able to book for Christmas 2006 (it seems so far off but at the price it is going to be it will take me that long to pay for it!!) Did anyone ever clear up whether or not there is a fee to change the reservation?

Sorry, but to clarify, if I want Christmas 2006, I can book for say Dec 2005 and then once booked can fax my request to the DCL IC and they will hold my request until the rates come out and I will have first dibs? Then you have to call and verify or will they notify you?

Yes, you can book for Dec 2005 then fax your request to IC. They will hold your request and you should get the request you want. However, it is first come, first served (i.e., if you want a specific stateroom and someone else wanted it but faxed in their request before you, then they would get the stateroom and you would be assigned a similar one, unless you gave IC several stateroom choices). You will have to call DCL to confirm. DCL will not call you to let you know you got your request. HTH

Sounds great! I am going to plan on that for sure! I do not know what I would have done if I had not found these boards! Ya'll are the best!
