I am making 3 dozen cupcakes. They are supposed to look like apples so I have to dip the frosted tops into red sanding sugar before adding the stem and leaf. I am bringing them to work and would prefer not to be doing this in the morning. However, I don't want the red dye from the sugar to leak or otherwise get messed up. Does anyone know if colored sanding sugar on frosting will keep in the refrigerator overnight or am I getting up at 5 am? Thank you!!
