I'm thinking I need to book BC and Poly now for Nov 1 - 7. Think I have time before it sells out. Does anyone think there will be discounts during that time?

We jumped on a Package reservation in October when they opened up but honestly, there has been plenty of availability at hotels and many hotels have not reopened yet. We just wanted an MK reservation for the Oct 1. I doubt there will be discounts unless COVID doesn't completely disappear by next Fall.

I think you do too. Poly rarely sells out except in high season.

Yes, there will likely be discounts. If attendance starts to pick up, they may not be good discounts. Either way you can rebook at the lower rate. Or book through a travel agent who primarily does Disney and they’ll rebook it for you if discounts are released.

Even if you book now you can call back and get the discount if one comes out... and you will get the resort you want.

The only guaranteed sell out is the actual 50th weekend, monorail resorts sold out months ago for that. Still plenty of availability afterwards. Always expect discounts, but the amount may vary depending on how they can fill resorts. Could be limited based on affinity groups (maybe we see another Visa promo, AP, etc). Always book where and what you can afford if there’s no discount and monitor or work with a TA who will do it for you.

After today's announcement that the 50th Anniversary celebrations will last 18 months, I don't think a lot will sell out early except the actual days around the Oct 1 Anniversary. You should have time to book your November dates but it never hurts to book early. I normally book a year in advance so understanding wanting to book early.

If you can afford the $200 deposit there's no sense in waiting until it's too late.

I booked BC for the first half of our stay, with a 4 day ticket. The 2nd half is Poly (3 nights) which means an $800 deposit which I could do, just don't really want to do this early. I will if I have to, though.

Gotcha. I feel like it's such a tough thing to judge given current capacity limits vs. expected October capacity limits. I'm inclined to believe more rooms will open up as the year goes on and capacity increases, just like I believe more park passes will open for MK on Oct 1 as park capacity increases. Things that show as sold out right now could be readily available in a few months. It's a really tough thing to judge.
