I just read that Regis and Kelly will be filming two shows in MK on one of the days we will be there (May 11th and 12th, I think). Do you think this will significantly increase crowds? They are filming a show at 9am and another at noon. Just curious what impact this will have. I was hoping maybe ride lines wou7ld be short during the filming as a lot of people will be there. Anyone deal with this before? I know they are there often.

Thanks!

Crowds which will effect how you are able to tour park. :goodvibes

A lot of people will be there. Not everyone likes Regis and Kathy and will skip them and think that the lines will be short. It will be crowded but theres also a big chance that those who don't like them will be going to Epcot, MGM, or the AK to escape crowds. I would say that it will balance out at the Magic Kingdom (as in normal wait times for WDW), but there will be a much higher crowd.

From what I read...it's Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. (11th,12th,and 13th) And the audiences are all full.

Anyone been there on one of these days before?

'Live With Regis and Kelly' Taping at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort
As part of the global celebration honoring the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, "Live with Regis and Kelly" will travel coast-to-coast to bring the magic of Disney to the show during the week of May 9-13, 2005. "Live" will show Regis and Kelly visiting Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California on Monday and Tuesday, May 9 and 10, and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, May 11, 12 and 13.

In addition to top celebrity guests, musical acts and the daily "host chat" for which "Live" is best known, Regis and Kelly will showcase the fun, color and excitement of both resorts, and the exciting events that are part of the 50th Anniversary celebration.

"Live" is inviting viewers who live in or plan on traveling to the Anaheim and Orlando areas to come out and enjoy the shows at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Tape dates are Sunday, May 8 at Disneyland Park, and Wednesday and Thursday, May 11 and 12 at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. We will be at MK on the 12th and 13th. Looks like they will be taping on the 11th and 12th, but will still be there on the 13th. Great.

The fact that it's a weekday will hold crowds down. Many people who are staying at WDW may not even know about it, they are not going to list it on park schedules. I was there in 2001 when they taped the Christmas Parade on a Thursday morning, Regis & Kelly were there, there were not big crowds. I only found out about it when I asked a cm if there were any activities at MK surrounding Walt's 100th birthday, she said no but they were taping the Christmas Parade the next day.

I believe the show they tape on Thursday at noon will be shown on TV on Friday morning, they will not be there on Friday.

When we were there Dec. 2001 taping Christmas Parade.
Everywhere they went was a crowd. :crowded: :crowded:
Glad we had park hoppers.
We got out of Dodge quick. :moped:
