The Monday after Thanksgiving (or next Monday, crazy how tme flies!). Is supposed to rain. Is A&E in a covered area? Do you think rain in the forecast will reduce the crowds? I'm wondering if this would make it easier to get in to see them. DD loves them now after seeing so many dressed up for Halloween so I really want to take her. Is the line in a covered area?

We are a family of four with kids 4 and 2 so we aren't going to be splitting up for any rides. I've seen other rain questions talking about closures but are all the rides my 36 in. can do going to still operate in the rain? It seems like the ones that closed are more the thrill rides. Are there any changes we should make to our must dos because things might be closing due to weather?

We will have more days on our trip to do things but it will be our first and only day together as a family for the week so I want DH to do as much as he can and see the kids reactions before I take them back solo and we go back together as a family the next weekend. Thanks so much!

A&E meet inside a room adjacent to the Village Haus, so they're covered and the M&G should not be impacted by the rain. The line is not entirely covered and portions are outdoors. I don't know if they'll put up umbrellas or anything if it starts raining, but you will get wet if they don't. I would say about 25 percent of the line is under cover and the other 75% is open (maybe a few trees). I think there is a chance that the rain will keep some folks away, but you'll still need to get a Return Ticket to see them and I would guess those will still run out in the morning. There is no standby line, so it's Return Ticket or no A&E. Even with the Return Ticket, my group waited about 45 minutes to see them.

The rain can impact Mad Tea Party (Tea Cups), Alice, Dumbo, Storybook Canal Boats, and pretty much any ride that is primarily outdoors. If the outdoor FL rides are on your "must do" list, then I would do them before it rains. It seems to me that Alice is the most likely to shut down and Tea Cups will remain closed as long as there is standing water on the floor (at least it was closed when I was there after it had rained heavily and there were standing water puddles all over the Tea Cups).

Rain is usually a pretty happy time at DL, as the locals don't like rain, and since they can go other times, they usually stay home when the sky opens up. Yay! Shorter lines!

No help with the A&E meet-n-greet, as I haven't been through it yet. I'm willing to bet the majority of the line is *not* under cover, though. The greet is most likely covered. (Obviously I need to get to DL so that I can find out properly!)

Rides close depending on the amount of rain. Rides that are inside buildings (dark rides, for example) will stay open, as will shows. Rides that are completely uncovered (some thrill rides, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Canal Boats) will close sooner than rides that only have a line outside. Should rain start up, throw on some ponchos and go about your day... Or take the rain as a good time to watch some shows or have a sit-down meal.

We will be there too, Fri to Mon. Fri and Sat look great, but Sun says rain later in the day and Mon rain all day. If rain means lower crowds then I'm all for it! I have heard that IASW also can close if it's raining hard because water can build up in the boats.
Should be interesting!
