Will QS Free Dining change your plans?

I know a lot of people are waiting to hear if there will be a free dining offer this fall. However, I was wondering if Disney decides to only offer the Counter Service dining plan for free - will people cancel their trip? I was not sure the impact that would have on our trip the end of August. Would crowds be less because people would be unhappy with the QS dining plan? Any thoughts?
