we are away in DLRP over christmas and are driving back on the 27th Dec. i was thinkning of taking a detour through Paris to show the kids the sites. things like the Eiffel tower ,Notre Dame and the Arc d' triumph.
i was just wondering of Paris would be quieter ove the holiday peroid or is going to be such a headache to drive through the city as to not make it worthwile.

thanks
Buzz.

locals will be celebrating the holiday with family so not as much local traffic ie on the metro, etc.

I have been in Paris during major holiday periods and it is certainly easier to get around than many other tourist destinations. However, locations like the Louvre and Versailles will be packed with dazed tourists 'doing' the sites no matter when you go ie time or year or day of week.

Personally, I would not drive in Paris but would take the RER and metro, or park and take the metro or your feet
