Hi all! WDW vet here, busy planning my first-ever trip to DLR. I have SO many questions (so feel free to lay any good tips on me!) :cool1: ...but I really want to know if my Pal Mickey will work in either of the California parks?

For a little background, we had planned to go to DLR last Christmas, but our flight was canceled at the last minute due to a snowstorm. My son was in the Rose Bowl Parade and a parade in Disneyland  (his flight made it out okay) but I didn't get to see or experience ANY of it. He loved it all so much, we are making plans to visit when there is a much less chance of snow. ;)

So, if any of you DLR vets want to take me under your wing, I will gladly do the same for you the next time you decide to journey over to the Summer Swamp -- I mean Florida!

In the meantime, has anyone ever tried their Pal Mickey at DLR?

No, he won't work. They don't do that here.

For good tips start here:

That is Hydroguy's DLR tips for WDW vets.

If you have any other questions just ask. Lots of people here will help you out. :)

So sorry you missed your trip last time! For summer months, I prefer July to visit and will be going in less than a week.

Thanks, Budgie. I was afraid he wasn't going to work there. Oh well...more room in the suitcase, right?

West Coast DIS-ers ROCK! :thumbsup2 I found HydroGuy's tips earlier and have been studying them thoroughly! I am sure I'll have lots of other questions, though.

I wish we could could come earlier, but Southwest Air was having a deal on airfare that I just couldn't pass up that started near the end of August. Seriously, we flew from NH to TN in May and it is costing us less to fly to California this trip!

My ex is taking my son to WDW in the beginning of August, so he will be able to make some interesting same-month comparisons. Lucky kid! :goodvibes

Have a WONDERFUL trip!

Have a magical trip!

I've read such neat things about Pal Mickey, but Disneyland doesn't use him. Too bad as I know my children would love something like that!

On the bright side- one less thing to drag around with you. :rotfl: Sounds cool, but I'd rather have something smaller. Hand size or less. I thought I saw a picture of him once and got the impression he was rather large.
