Doing Universal first and then Disney last. We will be there in January, this means cold in Florida. We will only be doing MK and AK..and maybe Epcot. I am not sure what resort to stay at. I wanted to try Poly, but the only thing is that there is no hot tub, not good when it's cold outside and the water is not as warm as you would like it. Thinking of WL, but I am not sure about their bus service. AKL..not a whole lot to see but animals. GF too much.

As of right now, we are staying at CSR. I thought we'd try something else. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I think WL would be a good choice. We're staying there next month, I was able to get a passholder rate for courtyard view for $140/night plus taxes, regular rate was $250. :)

Well WL has a boat that will take you to MK, so you'll only have to ride the bus to Animal Kingdom...I have never had any trouble with the buses at WL, yes it does share with Ft. Wilderness Campground but thats better then sharing with four other Resorts like EPCOT Resorts (YC,BC,BWI,Dolphin and Swain all share same buses.) Most Resorts do share buses. (Not Animal Kingdom Lodge)

Have a Great Trip.:earsboy:

Just returned from the WL over Thanskgiving weekend. Even though the resort was full, we never felt it. Whispering canyon was lots of fun, the pool was great, surrey bike ride to FW was an unexpected treat (the petting zoo is right there when you get to FW-pony rides are $3, petting zoo is free), playground is on the beach. Boat to Mk was great and the bus to AK you share with the GF, so it's right on the way-no problem and when we returned, we were dropped off first. We had towel animals every day. You have to request coffeemaker and turndown service. We were so impressed with this place!

I think you should reconsider the AKL. They have two spacious hot tubs.::yes:: Also, they really have so much more than just animals. That is one resort you could explore for hours. They have planned activities for the kids. There are lots of hidden Mickeys to be found. The bus service is EXCELLENT. If I had a quick trip to Disney, I'd go with AKL.

Thank you guys. Anyone else care to share their thoughts on which resort to go with. Thanks!

WL would be a great place to stay in the winter. It seems so warm and cozy.
