Will my fastpass reservations be cancelled?

Hi. My son and I currently have FP+ reservations at MK on July 14. These FP reservations are part of one-day, non Park Hopper tickets that we have. These tickets are very old, from 2006 I believe. Our plans have changed somewhat and now we are planning going to Hollywood Studios on July 10, before our MK day on July 14. Once we enter Hollywood Studios on July 10, we plan on adding park days to our 1 day non PH tickets to take advantage of the price bridging.
But since my tickets are for one day only and I already have FP+ reservations at MK, once we enter HS will our MK FP+ reservations be cancelled because we didn't go to MK with our 1 day, non-PH tickets?
Our plan is to still go to MK on July 14, once we add more days to our tickets, and I'd love to not lose my existing FP+ reservations at MK.
Thanks!

This question is often asked, and I have never found a definitive answer.

The absolute SAFEST thing to do is to try to get a CM to allow you to upgrade without having to enter a park first.
I've seen many times where that can happen.
(I've also seen other times when even AFTER a guest goes into a park, the ticket CM doesn't know how to "price-bridge," so anything is possible.)

Where can I upgrade without entering a park? And if I do that, won't I lose the price-bridge?

Sometimes a ticket CM will allow the upgrade at the "price-bridge" price, even before you use a ticket.
And, sometimes a ticket CM will not do the upgrade at the "price-bridge" price, even after you use a ticket. Then, you must go to a different ticket booth or guest relations and try again.
It's a luck-of-the-draw kind of thing, sadly.

Just go to any ticket booth or guest relations and ASK (nicely) and see what happens.

Of course, the OTHER thing you can do is enter the park, upgrade ASAP and take the chance that your MK FP+ reservations won't cancel. (They may be just fine.)

You just have to pick one method and go with it.

(Start with the one I first suggested.
It couldn't hurt.)

I and another DISer have booked FPs and then reassigned the linked ticket to another person. In my research, the FPs remained for 1.5 days without a ticket linked directly to the specific guest. The same 1.5 day FP extension was found by the other DISer.

Whatever you decide to do, you'll be safe as long as a ticket is re-linked to that specific MDE.
