Will my bags show up if I check two, but only have ONE yellow DME tag???

Are there ever any glitches with this???? I notice that DME only sends ONE tag per bag. I will be checking an extra bag under my name and with SW you can check two bags. I know I can claim it myself at baggage claim, but was wondering how this goes if we go to DME check in and give them my claim number. Anyone have an issue with this and the bag not making it???

I think they always ONLY send one. We have not flown since spring 2013 and we have only used ME a couple of times. We always used a car service.

I would take a shot & call to request additional tags. It is a common request. If you get them in time, you're all set. If not, give your claim checks to the people at the DME desk. You'll be fine

We took our baggage claim ticket (that we got when we checked them) to the DME Cm who checked us in at the DME line, he took the tag put the numbers in the system so the baggage people would know it went with our other ones. It all arrived together later.

I called on Sunday to request an additional tag and received 3 the NEXT day. It was a little spooky

There is still a savings on paper and trash if they send 3 extra yellow tags to just those people who proactively ask for one or two more tags, compared with sending two tags per person to everybody without their asking.

In their haste to send you your requested tags there is a greater chance of an error. You need to double check the information on the tag and write in any needed corrections such as resort name.

We received one set of luggage tags in one envelope and a second set it another envelope. Both were received on the same day.

Same here. I didn't even request extra tags but they came the same day as the first set of tags. Our flights are through SWA so maybe they automatically do it for SWA flights.
