Will my AP have my married or my maiden name?

Hello all,

I'm planning on honeymooning at WDW the day after my wedding ceremony. That means that I won't have been able to change my driver's license to reflect my name change yet.

So will I have to have my AP issued in my maiden name or will it be my new married name?

I think that your legal name will be your present name. You don't officially change (in the eyes of the law) until you take the marriage license/certificate to all the places you need to to get it done. So, just for ease, I'd use your then current driver's license and leave it at that.

(And, after you wait at the Social Security office and the Department of Motor Vehicles for HOURS, you'll wonder whether it was all worth it to be Mrs. Matt Goble. Twelve years later, I still throw that at my husband. The stuff we do for them! )
