Will my 6 mo old be afraid of Haunted Mansion?

I guess I thought any ride w/o a height restriction would be fine with DS but we were at a local pumpkin patch and they had these really dark teepees to walk through with jack-o-lanterns and he was upset upon seeing them. He cried so hard when he saw the glowing face. I love the Haunted Mansion but I'm wondering now if he'll be too scared. I would feel terrible if I put him through something that was scary for him. Has anyone's baby around 6 months had that kind of reaction? What other rides/attractions should I reconsider? Thanks for your help!

I found that rides were easy when they were this young. I just held them so that they couldn't see anything.

On the other hand my kids were afraid of characters until they were about 3....

I agree, don't think the baby will have a clue.

My DS didn't get scared until he got to be about 3, and at 9, he still doesn't like the HM.

I think with a baby that young you should be fine. The don't really grasp that it's supposed to be scary at that age. However...each child is different...and just because most of them handle it well doesn't mean they all will. The only way to know for sure is to try it.

I wo8ld think a 6 month old would be too young to really be scared by HM, but who knows? Every child is different. DS was 5 mos when he went on HM. He fell asleep.

A six month old does not have the knowledge to be afaid of things we think are scary like ghost. They can however be sensitive to dark places, loud noises or crowds. If this is the case, any ride that has these elements ( A LOT AT WDW) might trigger your child.I would take a comfort object or be ready to nurse during a ride (or show) you think might upset your little one.

My 6mo dd pretty much stopped breathing on HM. All the wise advice aside (and it all sounds good), babies are all different. My girlie was not afraid of all the dark rides, but she WAS afraid of that one.

my 4yrs old and 1 year old did not have trouble
but the 11 yr old yas a little up set at first go figure:hippie:
