Will MS tell me if something is available before the 7 month time?

I am considering changing resorts and am wondering if I call at 7.5 months will MS tell me availability at other resorts? This way I have a few days to consider the options (I know they may be gone when I call back). Just curious! Thanks!

I tried to get some info before the 7 month window- actually it was just DAYS before the time that I could have booked and they would NOT tell me if it was available or not- they only gave me availability up to the day I called.

It MAY depend on who you speak with though.

But, since availability may be gone in between the time you call, and the time you can book wouldn't it be impossible to "plan" anything prior to booking anyway?

Unfortunately I am an overplanner (especially when it comes to my DVC ). I could plan without calling and write out all of the possible scenarios, but this way I will know in advance that there is only the potential to get a 1br, studio, etc and at what resorts so I will be prepared to bank or borrow as necessary and not take up a bunch of time.

They will usually tell you a general idea of what things look like.
