Will MK reach capacity on Christmas Eve?

Hey guys! Wanted to get your thoughts and advice on the best park to spend Christmas Eve in. Here is the scenario:

We arrive at BC on the morning of Christmas Eve around 11am and I had planned on spending the day in EPCOT but today I was thinking that because of how busy it is at MK on Christmas day, that I would flip flop the days and go to MK on Xmas Eve and EPCOT Christmas day. Yes, I know its still going to be busy!

Here is the real question: Since we won't be reaching the resort until 11am and wouldn't get to MK until probably Noon or later will we have a problem getting into MK on Christmas Eve?

Has or does MK reach capacity on Christmas Eve?

Thanks so much for your advice, I appreciate it!

MK reaches capacity regularly during Christmas week. Arrive as early as you can and be prepared for LOOOONG waits.

Thanks! I've read a lot of posts about MK reaching capacity on Christmas and AFTER Christmas just not much about it reaching capacity on Christmas Eve. So I was hopeful that if we didn't get to MK until noon or later on Xmas eve that we'd be safe.

We've been for the 4th of July so we are prepared for that kind of craziness times 2!

We were in WDW for Christmas in 2011. I don't know if this was an off year, but honestly we found the parks to be pretty low in crowds until Christmas Day.

I remember going to nighttime EMH at Epcot on 12/23 and we felt like we had the entire WS to ourselves!

On Christmas Eve, we were in Epcot until 11am & found the crowds to be extremely manageable. We spent the rest of that day/night at Fort Wilderness.

On Christmas Day, we arrived at MK around 10. The regular line to get in was insane, but the "no bags" line was much faster. MK was MOBBED, but did not reach capacity until around 11 I think. We only spent half a day at MK that day and relaxed at our resort the rest of the day till dinner.

The day after Christmas and beyond were the worst-so crowded that it was no longer enjoyable.

We were just there this past Christmas(Dec. 20 - 26). We did not go to a park on Christmas Eve instead we toured the resorts to see all of the different decorations. Up until Christmas Eve we thought the crowds were very low(and we had prepared ourselves for it to be packed!) The check in lines on Christmas Eve were extremely long. We went to MK on Christmas Day and it was crowded but it wasn't what I expected it to be. We had a blast Christmas week which is why were are going again this year.

Thank you Aristocatz and Dreaming of Disney!! We are going to be there from 12/24- 1/2 so we're going to be there in the thick of things but are really looking forward to it! We always said we wanted to try it once... I have a few days of the vacation with no plans at all to enter the parks and resort hop and go to DTD.

The way I have everything booked now we would be visiting EPCOT on Christmas Eve, MK on Christmas Day so I'm really thinking I'm going to cancel all of my reservations and flip flop the days so we can be at MK on Christmas Eve. We are staying at BC so if we couldn't stand the crowds on Christmas we can always just walk back to the resort. I told hubby that we'd be traveling lite into the parks to avoid the bag lines. The magic bands should help with that!

For what it's worth, we were at MK on Christmas Eve 2010 and it did not close. Crazy busy but we were there for rope drop and rode many rides early! It's our plan for this next visit too!
