Will MDE linking with 2 separate group of family/friends impact chances of ILL or Genie Plus?

We are going to Disney World in June with a group of 9 (my family, my parents and my brother’s family) and we are all linked in MDE just fine.

A friend and her family will be there at the same time but we will not be doing anything together until my parents and brother leave later in our trip. If my friend is linked to me in MDE, will I have trouble excluding them each time I try to get an individual lightening lane or use genie plus for my group of 9? I never used either ILL or genie plus before so I am assuming it’s like the virtual queues where every second counts and you don’t want to spend a lot of time adding or removing people from your party during the process. Will MDE know to exclude my friend and her family automatically if we don’t have shared plans for the day?
