Will Leapster 2 charger work on Leapster Explorer?

DD has Leapster 2 and my mom wants to get her the Explorer for Christmas. Does anyone know if the charger for 2 will fit Explorer? I don't want her to spend the extra money if she doesn't have to.

The answer to your question depends which "charger" you are referring to. The cable that plugs the Leapster into the wall (so you aren't using battery power) is the same cord and is interchangeable. The recharging station that makes it so your Leapster recharges the batteries is different and does not cross between systems.

Reminder: The Leapster Explorer will not play any of the Leapster 2 games. It will play Didj games though.
