Will Jaleo open in 2018 as expected?

I called the restaurant directly over the weekend and the new anticipated opening is mid-January .
I was really hoping to eat there 12/31 but will go with Wine Bar George instead.

Honestly, I didn't ask when they will start taking reservations as I had a specific date in mind but did start my search at Opentable and MDE first; neither site is set up to take reservations yet.

I did the same thing, searched opentable and MDE for a reservation but nada! Love every spot of his I’ve tried and very much looking forward getting his quality food at DS

Has anyone been to his 'Minibar'? in WDC

Yes we've done MiniBar twice and its an amazing experience. I think I liked it more when it was just a 6 seat place in one of his other restaurants as I think they could play with it more but it is still something that should be done at least once.

For anyone interested in Jaleo we love the DC one and did it most recently just a few weeks ago. I put a little mini review in my latest disney dining report if anyone wants to check it out. Disney is in store for some truly great food!

My wife and I are anticipating dining at Jaleo in March--as long as it opens by then. Like you, we enjoy small plates and tapas, so this spot appears to be in our wheelhouse. Thanks for the link!

When I used to live in DC Jaleo was by far my favorite restaurant in the area.

Nice review @kastoney! I had a very similar evening in 2015 when I took my kids to Jaleo and a Christmas Carol too! In fact, we sat pretty much where your daughter is standing in the picture.

I live in Florida, but used to go to DC a lot for Reserve duty. Jaleo was definitely my go-to restaurant (Downtown and Crystal City locations), and I'm really looking forward to the one in Disney Springs.
