Will it rain on us the whole time?-UPDATE-WE'RE HERE

I'm very disappointed in the forecast. We're leaving in the morning for 8 days and there are either isolated or scattered (40-60%) thunderstorms EVERY day we're there!

I know that an afternoon rain is common in Florida but do you think we'll have full days of rain??

I don't know what we'll do if we can't get to the parks.


UPDATE- We arrived yesterday at 3 p.m. and when we walked in the gate we went right to get our passes made and I swear a downpour came right at the gate but not where we were 30 ft away! It lasted about 20 minutes and that was it.

Today was beautiful with the sky getting a little dark about 4 but no rain until 6. It is still raining with very dark clouds but we're going to try and make it to NBA City for the game tonight.

Forecast for tomorrow is evening storms but clear through the day. It is better than I thought and we are getting all of our things done in a relaxed manner.

FOTL rocks! I will never come here without staying onsite.

The rain comes and goes in a hurry. Besides, rain is not always all bad. Some of our best trips to parks have been when it rained because people stayed away or left and we had the attractions to ourselves. If it rains heavier, do Universal with the indoor rides, but don't let it ruin your trip.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm sure we'll have a good time, it just seems like a lot of days for rain. I need to go to bed because we rise at 3:00 am for a 6:00 am flight.

I live real close to the parks and when we do have rain it is scattered. It might last a short time or maybe longer. The funny thing is it could be on one side of the street but not on the other.

Have fun and take advantage of the rain. Keep on going on the rides.

They probably won't see this, but the current storms are
Scattered Thunderstorms that build in the afternoon. This is the normal Florida pattern. Now, if it was a front approaching or a tropical storm, then you have something to worry about. But in this case, it's not.
I'm going next week and have no worries whatsoever. I'm looking outside my window at 9am, the sky is perfectly clear blue, but at 3pm, it will turn grey and the automatic sprinkler system will happen. Then after I get home at 6pm, the sun will be out again.

Seriously.....take the ponchos and be prepared. We just got back from WDW, Sea World and Universal Tuesday. The first 3 days at
WDW didn't get a drop of rain but the rest of the week we had showers in the afternoon that lasted for 30 mins or so and then cleared off. Saturday at SeaWorld there were some pretty serious thunderstorms w/lightening that closed down Kraken for a while. Sunday at US, it rained for 2 or 3 hrs but we put on the ponchos and kept on going. No worries!

Every once in a while it will rain or drizzle all day but that is rare. Rain travels across the state pretty fast. Some of our fondest memories though come from times that are Perfect Storm-like with gail force winds and frog strangler rains. We put on the yellow storm gear and go for it, laughing all the way.

Yesterday, the rains started around 5:00 PM and continued until park closing at 8:00 PM. It ws raining pretty heavily the whole time.

No rain again today (Saturday) but the crowds sure grew! Still having fun and haven't seen it all yet but rode Mummy 3 times in 30 minutes and Spiderman twice in a row with no wait.
