I originally reserved Royal Pacific for 1 night at the club level. However, since we already are staying at Marriott's Horizon resort for the week, DH thinks this is a waste of money.

I am now considering cancelling this reservation.

Will it be bad not to have FOTL access for this week?

Any tips?

We probably should get there before the park opens, right?

Thanks!!

I wouldn't cancel. It will be very busy at the parks.

If you want to save money, why not just get a standard room? I would definitely want to keep the FOTL privileges during such a busy time.

I agree. Keep the room , but you don't need to pay for club level. I've been there a few times during the July 4th holiday and it is PACKED. Even if you are staying on site, it's a good idea to get to the parks when they open. By 11:00 it starts getting difficult to work your way through the crowds. We never experienced any long waits with staying on site though.

Agree, keep a regular room if they are available. Otherwise keep your club room as is.

Yes it's more expensive, but the "action" or "feeling" of staying onsite is worth it.

11am to 4pm is rush hour at the parks. It will be hot, and packed. You'll enjoy going back to your room in the afternoon to rest. The pool at the RPR has two basketball hoops, and a volley ball net. The kids will enjoy spending time in the pool because of the "action." The parks stay open until 10pm when they have fireworks.

Try checking into the RPR early at 7am and see if a room is ready. If not, get your magic keys and visit a park. Bring a change of cloths in case your room is not ready until 4pm, you can go swimming until it is. Then go back to the parks as the tired are leaving.

Some people have booked a night at the RPR just for the FOTL, and never even stayed in the room. So you going there for one night will give you two days of FOTL, and you'll enjoy it.

This will be one of the busiest weeks of the year. Definately keep the reservation to get the FOTL.

Thanks for all your replies. I ended up cancelling the reservation and decided to visit Universal some other times. We will be back to WDW and enjoy the resort.

Thanks again.

I was looking forward to seeing you at USO/IOA. I am going to be there July 4th week. :jumping1: :dancer:

This year since we traded our timeshare and have 1 week at Liki Tiki Village and 1 week at Marriott Horizons, I booked 2 nights at HRH with APH discount. I booked them at separate times so that we get 4 days of FOTL instead of 3.

FOTL is so worth the price of the room. We are just going to bring an overnight bag and stay in the room that night.
