Will it be busy the last week of March?

Yep, very. Spring Break goes from mid-March until mid-April.

Yes, the last week of March is the week before Easter = MANY FAMILIES ON SPRING BREAK!!!!

I went last year during the last week of March/first week of April, and will be going again this year at the same time (my only long break). It was busy compared to the off-season, but it was certainly manageable, and with FastPasses it was perfectly fine. Other than the big-ticket rides (Space, Splash, Indy) none of the rides had longer than a 30 minute wait, and some were much less.

You might see a big difference compared to last year with Easter being 2 weeks later. you will be right in the thick of Easter this year.

Oh you're right, bummer. I'm still going (already planned) but maybe I'll try to go earlier that week, maybe Mon, Tues, Weds.

I agree that it will be busy. Last year Easter was late so it helped thin the crowds out. Not so this year. It will be crowded but if you understand that and are fine with it you will still have a great time.

End of March = Spring Break  & Cheerleaders :cheer2: .

But we will be there too!!! (Spring Break)

We are only doing 2 days of Disney though - hoping that Universal Studios and Lego Land won't be quite so crazy.
:grouphug:

I just found these links...

We're thinking about mid April so in a quest to find some more info I went searching. So looking at this link it looks like the majority of unis/colleges have March for Spring break (goes over two pages.) At least for this level of education there are only a handful on break in the post-Easter week and beyond.

http://www.tripsmarter.com/panamacity/springbreak/sbcalendar.htm

Then some school districts

Orange County - 29 March to 9 April inclusive http://www.americantowns.com/ca/orange/venues/orange-unified-school-district

And from these boards shows most are over by 9 April - http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2274829

Good links. Yes many/most? schools schedule spring break the week before or the week after Easter (March 29-April 9). Colleges are a little different.

Oh so I am in luck... we are going March 25-28th... and so I will just miss the Spring Breakers of SoCal. Yeah!!! I'm happy to hear that. Thanks for the info you guys!

..of course there are the Spring Breakers in AZ, NM, NV, etc etc :)
Ours is March 22-26 and we are actually thinking of doing Sea World and not even going to DLR :scared1: how odd is that...

And, from what I could tell, the link in the previous post only showed OC schools and there are SO many more school districts around SoCal, all with different schedules, so you won't be missing all the spring breakers around here. In fact, DS will be off during your dates. Not to rain on your parade but just thought you should be prepared. On the other hand, we went during spring break last year (beginning of April) and the crowds weren't too crazy. Yes, it was crowded but not horrible and of course we were able to get tons done first thing in the morning and we used lots of FPs.
