We're going to IOA and US in August. I have Universal Studio 2010 guide and they recommend to skip express pass for a few rides (ex: The mummy) because we will miss pre-ride show.... Is it the case for Dual Dragon in Harry Potter area?

Dueling Dragons had such a wonderful queue that you should never have missed it. Now...Dragon Challenge's queue has been rethemed so you should go through it at least once.

I would do the queue. The line is usually really short and if you are a fan of the books or movies, there are elements from the Goblet of Fire in the queue, which are fun to see.

Not sure how it is now, but on the old DD, you only had an advantage with express if the line was like 40 minutes.

I have gone thru the que at DC and didn't notice any difference since the re-theming. There was no wait, we walked all the way to where you split for fire or ice.. we walked so fast that maybe it was different & I just never noticed.

If I undestand correctly queue line is not that big on this ride and speedpass will be useless. Thanks for info!

The only thing you will miss if you do the express line is the Triwizard Cup.

...and Harry's broomstick, and the floating candles, and the golden eggs.

If you've read the books, don't skip the queue.

I read every books multiple times (after 3rd book was released, each new books was an excuse to read all the previous one yet!)

I think i will do the queue...

The que doesn't really remind me of Harry Potter. If you want to go through the line though then you won't have too big of a wait. Tuesday it was still less than 10 minutes. Harry Potter was packed to. FJ was 90 minutes. Olivanders was over 2 hours and they had to shut the line down because they couldn't move it to anywhere else and all the shops had a half an hour wait. Not to mention the wait for butterbeer and the three broomsticks.

DC and FotH were both under 10 minutes!!!
